Walking
Virgen has a walking arena, which includes different certified walking pathssuitable for both beginners and advanced hikers.
Leisure arena Virgen
At Virgen's solar-heated outdoor swimming pool with its gorgeous mountainous backdrop and 45-meter slide, you can have fun or just chill down. There is also a beach volleyball court, tennis courts and a roller-blading rink.
Culture
The Virgen area offers a wide range of cultural attractions, including the Maria-Schnee pilgrimage church, where a sacred music concert is held in mid-August, evening concerts by the Virger band, and a changing variety of cultural events organized by the Upper Tauern National Park organization.
Skiing
Both children and parents will be enthusiastic about the baby ski lift located near our house. Expert skiers will want to try out the gorgeous pistes of the nearby Großglockner Resort (ski busses linking Virgen and Matrei are free of charge).
Cross country skiing
Plunge into a magic winter wonderland, skiing along miles of well-kept cross-country ski-tracks.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing can be great fun, especially on the illuminated toboggan run starting from the Würfelehütte, a mountain hut just a few minutes' walk from the Kristallspitz apartment.
